Session 1: Lecture on the Theory and Application of Huangdi’s Internal Acupuncture

Speaker: Qu Yan, DTCM

 

Dr. Qu studied with Professor Liu Lihong, a well-known TCM scholar on the Treatise of Typhoid, the Fu Yang School, and the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Needle. She is currently an instructor with the Department of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

 

Topic: The Theory and Application of Huangdi’s Internal Acupuncture

 

1. The Theory and Method of Huangdi’s Internal Needle
   1. The four general rules of Huangdi’s internal acupuncture:
      1. Treating the upper disease from below
      2. Treating the lower disease from above
      3. Treating the left disease from the right
      4. Treating the right disease from the left
      5. Seeking the same Qi
      6. The six channels of the same Qi and the six channels of identification
         Same Qi in San Jiao
      7. Yin and Yang reversal seeking
2. Clinical application of Huangdi’s internal acupuncture and case analysis
3. Internal acupuncture and daily maintenance
