Richmond, BC — June 20, 2025 — The British Columbia Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Practitioners (ATCMA) is thrilled to join in the excitement surrounding the 5th World Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Week and the 3rd British Columbia TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists Week, running June 21-27 plus July 1,  2025. Proclamation2025.pdf This landmark celebration underscores the vitality and continuing growth of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture within our province and on the international stage.

The event organizers received a letter of support from Prime Minister Mark Carney Congratulatory Letter from Prime Minister for BC TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists Week.pdf, applauding the significance of this cultural and academic showcase. His message is a recognition of the value of TCM communities in promoting health, education and professional development, and research.

This year’s program explodes with activities: a ten‑day cultural and academic immersion from June 21 to 27 culminating with a vibrant Canada Day Parade on July 1 . The kickoff on Saturday, June 21 features the Opening Ceremony and TCM‑Community Health Exhibition Market at King George Park, Richmond—10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a TCM & Community Health Exhibition Market with 100 booths to showcase TCM products, services, and our healthcare professionals.

Throughout the event, you can expect a dynamic mix of TCM demos, free consultations, cultural displays, educational seminars, an expo market with over 100 booths. For details and to register for courses and find out a schedule of what's happening, click here

ATCMA extends heartfelt congratulations to the organizers, whose dedication has brought this ambitious week to life. Your commitment to excellence and genuine public service shines through every detail.

ATCMA is proud to fully support this initiative. We congratulate every individual who contributed—from esteemed guest speakers and academic leaders to grassroots volunteers. Your efforts not only amplify TCM’s impact but also strengthen community bonds across cultures and disciplines.

We enthusiastically invite practitioners, students, supporters, and curious minds to visit ATCMA at Booth #46 during the Opening Ceremony on Saturday, June 21 at King George Park, Richmond (12560 Cambie Rd., V6V 1G4). We’ll be offering a welcoming space to connect, learn about TCM, find out about ATCMA membership and our advocacy work for this profession, explore professional development opportunities, and more.

In sum, World TCM & Acupuncture Week achieves more than cultural celebration—it fosters academic enrichment, health and wellness partnerships, and community wellness. ATCMA is fortunate to support an initiative that not only promotes public health but enhances understanding across global communities.

We look forward to an inspiring and successful week ahead. See you at Booth #46 on June 21—let’s celebrate, learn, network, and grow together!

This is great. So happy to see our TCM Community working together and nice to see the Federal Government acknowledge TCM and the week.
