Gil Gosch is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University – KPU. His background studies in Acupuncture and Shiatsu Therapy started back in 2012 in São Paulo, Brazil, where he has also practised Acupuncture and its correlated techniques.
His motivation to study and work with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture was inspired by Aikido masters he had the opportunity to know and follow in the past 20+ years practising this traditional Japanese Martial Art. Alongside the physical demands of the training, he engaged in the Zen practice of meditation, which has helped him to exercise grounding, balance and center.
Fully engaged in Eastern practices he felt that a closer connection with Chinese culture and masters should complement his professional skills and his personal quest. This is why he chose to study in Richmond, B.C. A short term Summer Program in the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine – BUCM in 2024 with daily lectures and technical visits has given him an increased awareness of the importance of this ancestral knowledge as a path to healing people, the community and the environment.

Currently he is a Mentee at the BC Adaptive Mentorship Network for Pain, Mental Health and Substance Use (BCAMN), and a prescriber in the “PaRx Canada’s nature prescription” project, an initiative by BC Parks Foundation.
Gil believes in educating and empowering clients with resources to prevent and treat their conditions. He has experience treating acute and chronic pain, repetitive strain issues, computer pain, disease related pain, headaches, tension, insomnia and stress. His background has offered him a deep understanding of the importance of integrating different healing modalities in order to deliver high quality treatment to the public.
Besides his professional interests, he is passionate to travel with family and friends, loves photography. He practices Aikido, Zazen and started to learn Tai Ji Quan, Qi Gong and breathing exercises.
